On the rebuild

Bus with no name is getting built up, dash loom, dash, revamped seat belt anchorages, seats. It has like 1970's warning lights out of some old cortina, different light switch, a clock and tell tale handbrake switch. Not to mention a wiper potentiometer for variable speed, wire that lot up after 15 months. My head hurts.



Seat belts are/were a bit knarley



Nice to get the dash back in



Seats and belts work beautifully, the new seat floors don't come with runners, the runners that you can buy are shit, drill the spot welds out of the old one and put a 5mm plate In-between it and the floor as the profile is different on the new Vw panels. Get them parallel or they won't slide nicely.



The dash loom has lost its tape over the years. A new outer casing of cloth looming tape ensures that wires are not exposed to any sharp edges, dash etc.
